
For 20 years schools across the province have been hosting leadership conferences, bringing endless opportunities for leadership development to Newfoundland and Labrador's students.

1989 - Ms. Josephine Budgell and one other student from Leo Burke Academy, Bishop's Falls, attend the Canadian Student Leadership Conference in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Leo Burke Academy hosts a regional student leadership conference for the schools in Central Newfoundland.
1990 - The First Provincial Student Leadership Conference hosted by Leo Burke Academy, Bishop's Falls.
1991 - Second Provincial Student Leadership Conference, hosted by Father Berney High School, in Burin. Discussion begins regarding the organization of a provincial group to promote the development of student leadership in Newfoundland and Labrador.
1992 - St. Paul's Regional High School in Gander hosts the Third Provincial Student Leadership Conference. Steering committee formed to work on a constitution to structure a provincial organization.
1993 - Canadian Student Leadership Conference hosted by Leo Burke Academy and Inglis Memorial High, Bishop's Falls. Constitution accepted and the Newfoundland and Labrador Students leadership Committee is formed.
1994 - Fifth Provincial Student Leadership Conference hosted by Clarenville High School. Fees are collected from conference registration to offset expenses of provincial committee meeting.
1995 - Prince of Wales Collegiate, St. John's hosts Sixth Provincial Student Leadership Conference.
1996 - The Seventh Provincial Leadership Conference hosted by Laval High School, Placentia, St. Bride's and St. Anne's Academy, Dunville. First provincial executive including regional directors are elected. Premier Brian Tobin gives resounding support for conference.
1997 - The Eighth Provincial Student Leadership Conference and the Newfoundland and Labrador Youth Congress jointly held as part of the Cabot Celebrations and hosted by Herdman Collegiate in Corner Brook. First formal spring meeting of the executive held in Gander. Long and short term goals put in place. Name change of provincial organization to Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Student Activity Advisors.
1998 - Booth Memorial High School in St. John's hosts Ninth Provincial Student Leadership Conference. Leadership Course developed and taught at Prince of Wales and Bishop's College, St. John's and Leo Burke Academy, Bishop's Falls. Labrador is added as a regional district and the first Labrador Director is elected to the executive,
1999 - The Tenth Provincial Student leadership Conference is hosted by Leo Burke Academy in Bishop's Falls. A new website is created for the provincial organization and a new logo is adopted. Recognition plaques for post and future school is adopted. New leadership award system is presented to members of the organization.
2000 - The Eleventh Provincial Student Leadership Conference is hosted by Ascension Collegiate, Bay Roberts. Awards presented to schools for Student Council Leadership roles. Recognition awards presented to teachers who have been involved in 5 and 10 conferences.
2001 - The Twelfth Provincial Student Leadership Conference was hosted by Glovertown Academy, Glovertown. Students who attended had an awesome time.
2002 - The thirteenth Provincial Leadership Conference was hosted by Stephenville High School, Stephenville. All participants were treated to great West Coast Hospitality and the new NLASAA Executive were elected.
2003 - The fourteenth Provincial Leadership Conference was hosted by Marystown Central High School. A new Avalon East Representative was elected.
2004 - Discovery Collegiate of Bonavista held the 15th annual PSLC. It was a great cultural experience for all involved. A new NLASAA was elected.
2005 - Exploits Valley High in Grand Falls-Windsor hosted the 16th annual conference. Leadership came straight from the heart at this conference!
2006 - Laval High School, located in Placentia, did a great job hosting the 17th annual PSLC.
2007 - Carbonear Collegiate hosted the 18th annual conference. A good time was had by all.

2008 - Welcome to the island's edge! St. James Regional High in Port-aux-Basques invited all leaders to come out and have fun at their school for the 19th annual conference. New NLASAA representatives were elected.
2009 - The spirit stampeded into St. Kevin's in the Goulds for the 20th annual conference.
2010 - PWC will welcome the province's young leaders back to St. John's for year 21.
